Please find below a recipe for disaster
Take a large London hotel that's also a low-cost hotel
+ many, many foreign tour packages (think bus+30 teenagers, times 20)
+ a fire alarm system that doesn't zone off the hotel - or even have the silent alarms that many hotels now do.
= 3 fire alams in the last 2 days, including one at midnight and ANOTHER at 2am. Grrrrrrrrrrr
For the record - pretty much everyone turned out the first time, some people the second time and by the third time the hotel was mysteriously almost empty... So alarms that actually work - rather than go off when some little shit has a crafty fag (cigarette) through the window - would seem safer to me?
