Home from Holiday, off again to New Orleans and Microsoft!

Would I be lying if I said it was good to be back? Probably
Anyway, this week should be an interesting one. On behalf of Bluewave, I'm currently on my way to the Microsoft Partnering Executive Summit and Worldwide Partner Summit. In case you hadn't realised, both Bluewave and BE do have Microsoft skills, we've just much more recognised for our IBM skills. In fact, we're a Microsoft partner too - hence we got invited to New Orleans this week.
So, what's in store? Well, I'll be honest and say that I don't really know just yet. But it certainly should be interesting. I believe the WPS is pretty big (similar to Partnerworld), but the WPS certainly isn't. I'm invited to an 'Executive Q&A session with Steve Ballmer' for starters....... But, whatever happens, if it's not under NDA then I'll blog it. For starters, the comparisons with Lotusphere are pretty interesting:
Flight time to Orlando - about 10hrs
Flight time to New Orleans - about 20hrs
Planning my sessions for LS - Bens' brilliant database, which means I can do it on the plane.
Planning my WPS sessions - erm... on-line only. And no free wi-fi here at JFK. hmmm.
Handholding for Lotusphere - none. ie, I'll know if IBM(UK) people are there, by reading their blogs.
Handholding for WPS - loads. Already a few phone calls with our partner manager, they're waiting for me to arrive, have emailed me suggested outlines and are being very helpful.
SO - if you're in New Orleans next week, please get in touch! As I said, it should be fun....

I think it better to compare WPS to PW and Lotusphere to the Sharepoint Conference In Vegas in Oct - but just my opinion :)
