St Pancras update 4 - the colour dilema

One problem solved, one dilemma!

I've been a bit concerned about the spires on St Pancras, because they are very thin indeed, and modeling this in Lego wasn't going to be easy. So, I got out some spare tiles and had a play. The good news is that I've found a way of doing it:

The picture on my Mabook is of the real thing. The bad news is that 1x2 tiles in sand green (the colour of the cap) are REALLY rare. And I'd need 100 per spire, of which there are 3 of them... Otherwise, it's going to look like this:
