My apologies to the author - I should have blogged this on Monday, but as always, things got in the way! I haven't had time to test it myself, but the author of this tool is looking for some beta testers. It looks pretty cool to me, integrating Notes calendars with Google both ways (Notes 8.5 only allows you to subscribe to google calendars). Google Group Diaries – make use of Google Calendars to create as many group diaries as required. Easily create Departmental, Company, Project diaries.
Holidays – users can synchronise their holiday entries with a separate Google diary which will allow Departmental and Organisational Google diaries to be created and displayed with ease.
Sickness – as with the holiday entries “days of sick” can be recorded in individual diaries and can then form part of a group “sickness” diary. It would then be very easy to spot trends in sickness days. For instance, one could easily see what colleagues always took Mondays off or by adding major sport events to another diary and displaying them together, in Google, you could see who was usually “ill” when the football was on.
Public Diaries – Google diaries can be made public. It would therefore be possible to display certain events to the public using the Category or Subject Filter. It is also possible to allow the public to make appointments, in a Google diary, and have them synchronised in Lotus Notes.
