You may have missed it, with all the hype surrounding ILUG - but at the end of that event, we announced another one - UKLUG 2008!

Just in case you're a new reader to the blog, UKLUG is the UK Lotus User Group. Basically a big bunch of people using the same technologies that you do - with the same problems, pitfalls and most importantly - solutions. This year, we're putting on another event to help get everyone together, talk geek, impress your colleagues and learn from each other!

We're growing a little from last year, to a new venue in Westminster, central London. It's also not that far away - the 18th and 19th September, which is the Thursday and Friday after Collaboration University London. Since opening registration, we've not only been accepting registrations thick and fast, but we've also had some fantastic speakers offer their help. If you'd like to hear from people such as Rob Novak, Carl Tyler, Paul Mooney, Gabriella Davis, Bill Buchan - all of whom you'd normally be paying a hefty conference fee to listen too - then you should be at UKLUG. Did we mention that it's FREE?

Not only do we have some great professional speakers, but we've also been lucky enough to have a number of members volunteer their services to tell you their war stories. Want to hear how one company use Sametime, Quickr, iNotes and custom Domino applications to drive their business forward? How about the organisation that migrated  30,000 users from a rival product to Lotus Domino? All you do need to do is to register to be a part of this FREE event.

If all that isn't enough to convince you to come, then we're also gathered together a nice friendly bunch of Lotus business partners too. These people write and sell all the solutions that bring your infrastructure to life. We have to give them a big thanks for making the event happen and this year we have to mention Blackberry, Symantec and IBM - among many many others for their generosity. All these companies are here to help you to get the most out of your infrastructure.  So even if you don't come away with hints, tips and solutions to your problems - we can guarantee you'll meet someone else who can! Of course, for FREE!

So, what are you waiting for? Get yourself over to www.uklug.info and sign up for the 18th and 19th of September. As I mentioned, we're already taking registrations and we do have a limit on how many people we can fit in, I'm afraid.

Finally - how about telling us your stories? The most  (and most appreciated) part of the event are stories from people who have been there before - telling it how it is. If you'd be interested in being one of those people this year - we'd love to hear from you. If you would like to speak, drop us an email to info@uklug.info. Don't be scared - it's really good fun!

And lastly, if you're a Lotus BP or ISV - we've still got some sponsor places left. Not only would you be supporting the Lotus community in the UK, but you'll get to meet  a great cross section of customers in the UK. Feedback from last years' event was 100% positive - why wouldn't you want to be involved? If you would like to sponsor, again drop us an email to info@uklug.info
