Well, thanks to Kitty, the UKLUG responses are all in, collated, aggregated, reviewed and evaluated
I'm going
to start on the individual session evals tomorrow, but for now - here's
a few extracts from the results:
Overall rating:
54% Excellent
46% Good
- I can't argue with that! 5% of people didnt' meet their objectives (that's 2 people), so still a little work to do there. But I probably can't help the person who wanted "To understand the failure of Domino as a development platform"...
Giveaways
Opinions on the giveaways varied, but the memory stick was by far the most treasured item. The bags went down well, but only one person ranked their favourite item as the blackberry stress-toy!
Venue
90% of people ranked the venue 7/10 or greater - so thanks very much to CC for that one. 80% of people ranked the organisation at 8/10 or above and thankfully no-one gave us less than 5/10 for that! Interestingly, the overwhelming preference for next years' venue is London. I'm not sure if that reflects the people who were there or the real mood - answers on a postcard please for that one. Having said that, everybody apart from one person said that they would be back next year
Sponsors
The sponsor sessions all went down well, with the customer presented sessions doing very well (nice job guys!). We've had a few suggestions for new sponsors which I'll chase up for next year, and everyone was happy with the drinks reception (I wonder why....)
So, all in all, I'm very happy with the results for our first big attempt. It's certainly given us some ideas for next year which I'll work on soon. The best of which is probably to demo Notes 9, but I can't guarantee that one! We're working out a few things at the moment (mainly the data protection act, so I can still email you all about new events), but as soon as that's done, I'll be sending out a bunch of thankyou emails. Speakers - your evals will be through shortly as well.
Anyway, back to the grindstone. I'm really very busy at the moment with a bunch of exciting stuff. And I've another flight to catch!

ILUG is almost as easy to get to as UKLUG in the south for me - carbon footprint probably not so good though !
Looks as though it was a great event, well done !
