2 Things I want from Hannover

It's probably far too late for this now, but here's a couple of things that would get standing ovations at Lotusphere (go on, think of all the happy people...)

1. Move contacts and groups into the mail file. Pleeeease. I really don't want to have to explain to my wife again why she has one set of contacts for addressing in Notes, and another syncing to her phone and for use in the web. Come on, all you'd have to do is to allow mail addressing to query the mail file in your location document. Then we can deprecate the contacts in the pernab ourselves! Even better of course would be to move them all during the upgrade.

2. Put ALL the mail settings into the same place! Preferably the preferences panel. Mary Beth Ravens' blog looks like this might be happening, just don't leave any behind (and make that prefernces pane extensible via Lotuscript)

If both these happen, I personally promise never to say a bad thing about Lotus ever again. Well maybe not, how about a big kiss instead?

Gravatar Image1 - I totally agree, after 10 years with Notes & Domino I still do not understand why my contacts is not stored in my mailfile.
